Women’s Basketball Celebrate the Legacy Reunion

The National W Club and the UW Athletic Department welcomed back over thirty UW Women’s Basketball alumni on October 30-31 to Celebrate the Legacy of Wisconsin Women’s Basketball.

On Friday, Oct. 30, alumni watched the current Badgers practice in the Nicholas-Johnson Pavilion. Alumni and their guests gathered with the current team and staff for a reception in Heritage Hall on Friday evening. Highlights dating back to the 1970’s were played during the cocktail hour. Terry Murawski, Executive Director of the National W Club, Terry Gawlik, Associate AD for Sports Administration, and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Lisa Stone addressed alumni.

On Halloween, Women’s Basketball Alumni joined the festivities in the Field House for the Badger Blast Tailgate Party. Alumni were then introduced along with the current Badgers on the field during the football game vs. Purdue. To watch a video click here
