UW Baseball Reunion Hits Homerun

The National W Club hosted over 120 UW Baseball Alumni at a reunion September 4-5, 2009. A reception was held in Heritage Hall for over 200 people on Friday evening. National W Club Executive Director Terry Murawski and Athletic Director Barry Alvarez welcomed back former UW Baseball players, many of whom hadn’t returned to campus in over 20 years. Highlights of the evening included the original scoreboard from the baseball field was brought into Heritage Hall by the Dug Out Club, and baseball cards were distributed to former players that were put together by the National W Club staff from baseball file photos.

On Saturday, alumni and their guests enjoyed a pre-game celebration in Heritage Hall before the UW football team took on Northern Illinois. During the game, alumni were introduced to the fans at Camp Randall and received a warm reception.
